Customers who are on the lookout for a good smartphone to buy should look no further than these three big names in the highly competitive market: the Google Nexus 5X, Apple iPhone 6s and Samsung Galaxy S6.

Before shelling out any penny, the customer should first take an up-close look at what these latest smartphones tout.

Which will make a dent in the hearts of the most exacting customers across the globe? Let's see how each one compares with its strongest competitors on the market.

Design

The gold Galaxy S6 and rose gold iPhone 6s definitely win the battle in this arena since both handsets sport flashy and stunning designs. While the Nexus 5X claims to offer three color options, including black, white, and ice blue, it may not be as impressive as the looks of its competitors.

What's more, the iPhone 6s and Galaxy S6 come with luxurious glass and aluminum-based designs, while the 5X has a cheaper-looking plastic case.

Screen

The iPhone 6s features a 4.7-inch 1334 x 750 screen with a pixel density of 326 ppi. The Nexus 5X boasts a 1920 x 1080 screen over 5.2 inches at 424 ppi. The Galaxy S6, however, promises a 1440 x 2560 screen, stretching 5.1 inches with a density of 577 ppi.

If the customer is looking for the biggest screen, the 5X is the best option. In this aspect, it seems that Apple's flagship device lags behind its two strongest rivals.

Processor

To check which of the three devices scores the highest in terms of speed, let's take a closer look at how they perform on GeekBench.

What we have, so far, are the scores for the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6s. The iPhone 6s logged impressive scores of 2490 on a single core and 4332 on multi-core. The Galaxy S6 garnered 1214 on a single core and 4145 on multi-core.

We have yet to see the GeekBench scores of the 5X. However, the processor of an LG G4, which is the same processor powering the 5X, scored 1113 on a single core and 3187 on multi-core.

Camera

The Galaxy S6 sports 16MP into a maximum f/1.9 aperture. The iPhone 6s promises a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. Meanwhile, the 5X features a 12.3MP camera with f/2.0. All these three smartphones boast a 5MP camera on the front.

Google says the camera of the 5X is especially good at indoor photography.

Price

In this particular aspect, the 5X wins the crown, particularly for budget-conscious technophiles. It costs $379 for the 16GB variant and $499 for the 32GB version.

Without a contract, the price tag for the 16GB iPhone 6s is $649. The 32GB base model of the Galaxy S6 is priced at $549.

Some reviews say, however, that if the customer has the extra money to burn, they can opt for the Galaxy S6 or iPhone 6s.
