The highly-anticipated Lenovo Vibe P1 is now the star of a more substantial leak, surfacing in hands-on images that show its design.

Leaks and rumors regarding the upcoming Lenovo Vibe P1 smartphone have been intensifying as of late, as hype is building up ahead of the expected unveiling at IFA 2015 in September.

The handset first surfaced in a few press renders back at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, but Lenovo has yet to officially provide an exact launch date for its Vibe P1.

Nevertheless, various details came to light so far and the Vibe P1 is shaping up as a sleek smartphone with good specifications and a truly impressive battery of 5,000mAh.

The newly-leaked images popped up on China's Weibo, showing the Lenovo Vibe P1 from multiple angles for a better look at its design and build. While the hands-on photos show the purported smartphone, the Weibo leak from the "EDGE Network Technology" also includes a pair of screenshots that detail some of the Vibe P1's specifications, falling in line with previous rumors.

The Lenovo Vibe P1 will come with a 5.5-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels), an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor running at 1.5GHz and 3GB of RAM for a fast and fluid performance.

Other specs of the upcoming smartphone include 16GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for expandable storage, a 13-megapixel main camera with dual-LED flash, a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calls, a pair of speaker grills at the bottom, NFC connectivity, dual-SIM support, and the massive 5,000mAh battery. Moreover, the handset will reportedly rock a fingerprint scanner as well. In terms of software, the Lenovo Vibe P1 should come running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

Design-wise, the Vibe P1 shown in these images doesn't seem to be very thin, but it does sport a sleek magnesium-alloy body that lends it a more premium look.

If the Lenovo Vibe P1 makes its official debut at IFA 2015 in Berlin, it should hit retail availability soon enough. It remains unclear for now just how much it will cost, but various reports so far have suggested that it will come with a price tag of around $310.
