Treyarch, the game developer, and Activision, the publisher of the upcoming video game Call of Duty: Black Ops 3Â announced that the beta version for PC and Xbox One has been extended for a day.

The end of beta means that the game developers will be able to make necessary modifications to the game prior to the official launch scheduled for November this year.

The game's official Twitter account posted that the beta will be officially closed on Aug. 31 at 10 p.m. PST, which means gamers in the UK will still have until Tuesday, Sept. 1, to test the game. Players in the east coast will also get until 1 a.m. EST on Tuesday, Sept. 1, to play the beta of the upcoming first-person shooter game.

The tweet also announced that the level cap has been raised to 49, which mean gamers have one day to reach level 49.

Extending the beta and the level cap by a day is not new for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The PlayStation 4 (PS4) also went through a similar cycle and the game developer extended the beta by a day and bumped up the level cap. Activision also announced that the PS4 beta was the largest for the gaming console.

"The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta was the biggest beta on PlayStation 4 to-date, delivering the most downloads, gameplay sessions and hours of gameplay to-date," per an Activision blog.

The beta version of the game weighs 15GB and it features three different maps with seven multiplayer game types. Rob Kostich, the senior VP and general manager of Call of Duty, Activision Publishing, said that the beta was just a "fraction" of the actual game. The progression of beta players will not be carried forward to the full game on release.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3Â will be released for PS4, Xbox One, PC and older home consoles on Nov. 6 this year. Older gaming consoles may not include some features of the game.
